Nervous System Education

In the workshop, Caring for Your Nervous System, you’ll explore how your nervous system works and learn how we shift from stress to restoration. Learning more about the biology of our nervous system helps us know how the choices we make, and the activities we engage in, affect our emotional state. This knowledge is an empowering tool for self-care, stress relief, and happiness.

We don't always have access to therapy, and even when we do, a therapist can't be with us every minute of the day. The information in this workshop helps people develop awareness of their own nervous system reactions, which gives them more agency and self determination over their own emotional state and overall health.
When we experience stress, our access to important brain functions decreases, making it harder to hold multiple perspectives at once. Tracking our needs while also remaining compassionate to others, is instrumental in solving complex human problems.

In the last couple of years, there's been an increased awareness about the connection between nervous system reactions and our health. This is a great sign!
